President’s Day 2024
A message from the President, Joan Whittaker
Despite an overcast, increasingly windy, damp and chilly day, over 90 men and women took on the beautifully prepared course for the President’s Prize and a variety of fun prizes. I welcomed everyone at the well-stocked halfway house, offering food and refreshments to keep spirits high…
In the evening, local professional singer Amy provided lovely background music while attendees enjoyed Julia’s special buffet. The event concluded with the prize presentation, where Keith Duckworth emerged victorious, with Julie Singh coming in a close second. Nathan Dunn scored the lowest gross on a card playoff from Danny Liles.
Other prize winners included Matt Bartle, Andy Carter, Neil Richards, Sally Blenkinship, Fran Gierat, Stephen James, Julie Stephenson and Terry Pike.
I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the participants for their enthusiasm and perseverance despite the challenging weather. A special thank you to our dedicated staff and volunteers who ensured the event ran smoothly and provided such a welcoming atmosphere.
