Over 70 members of the club fought the elements on Saturday to compete on President’s Day. Welcome sustenance with The President, Joan Whittaker, at the halfway house fuelled some excellent scores despite the wild windy conditions.

A good attendance in the evening enjoyed Julia’s lovely buffet while The Valley Jazz Cats Band serenaded everyone. The following prize presentation saw a dozen players getting the minor prizes and Les Saddington winning the President’s Prize with a net 67.
The band then played in the background while friends reminisced on the day late into the evening.
